Fascism is in many ways a creeping disease, it settles in, it spreads slowly, it changes society in tone, in action, also in opportunism, in the indifference of those who go along with the new normality. As a university and as citizens, we have a duty to expose fascism and make its more recent examples visible

Metahaven is an Amsterdam-based artist collective working in filmmaking, writing, and design.
In the lecture, they talk about their past and forthcoming work. The Feeling Sonnets (Transitional Object) (2024) is Metahaven's forthcoming film on poetry and artificial intelligence, based on a poetry collection by Eugene Ostashevsky.

Kata is a photographer, commissioned in the field of portrait, fashion, and reportage photography, using analog cameras and available light, and a candidate for a PhD in Artistic Research at die Angewandte with an ongoing study in mass tourism and traveling. Kata will show her work as a commissioned photographer and from the artistic and academic field. She will address, in a playful manner, the dichotomy and the ways the two paths of her practice intersect and diverge.

In their lecture, Studio Pointer provided an introduction to their practice and core design method, which they refer to as "software fiction". By building experimental tools and employing a fictionalized, poetic approach to writing code, they seek new perspectives in the design process and imagine alternative realities through the modification and repurposing of technology.
New York International Film Award for ‘Mother Arkah’

We are very happy to announce that Andreas Palfinger's diploma project ‘Mother Arkah’ was awarded with the New York International Film Awards NYIFA in the category Best First Time Director: Short. ‘Mother Arkah’, a Filmic Allegory on the Rise and Fall of Ideologies, is an 18-minute animated short film exploring a speculative climate-apocalypse scenario and the hypothesis of the posthumanist ideology ‘Bio-Technoism’.
